We LOVE Love: Unique Wedding Vows

Many couples elect to use the traditional vows for their wedding ceremony. They are timeless and for most people they encompass much of what is important for them. However, there are couples who are getting creative and making their vows specific to their relationship and entertaining for their guests. From raps and poems to special songs and full blown choreography routines these couples are sure to make their vows memorable.

This bride became a Facebook sensation when her poem about waiting for the love of her life went viral a few years ago. Sense that time, she met and married the man she was praying for- who happened to be sitting right there in the audience when she performed her original poem.

This couple chose to sing their vows to one another. How special and romantic to have your groom or bride serenade you, especially while playing an instrument.

Both the bride and groom decided to write their own vows, but in very different ways. The bride starts out by sharing her emotional vows and then the groom follows by singing his vows to his bride! Such a priceless moment!

What do you think about the weddings we have featured above? Did you use the traditional vows or did you create your own?

10 Questions to Ask Before Booking a Wedding Venue

\

Selecting a wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions to make during the wedding planning process. Like your wedding dress, it can greatly impact the entire tone and style of your wedding. Most importantly, you want to choose a venue that is well-respected and is willing to work with you to make your wedding dreams come true. Take a look at the following list of questions to ask before booking your wedding venue.

  1. How big is your guest list? Can the venue comfortably hold your guests?
  2. What is the rental fee and what is included in the price? Are there discounts for weddings booked in the off season?
  3. Will you be able to have both your ceremony and reception there?
  4. Do they have a back up plan for inclement weather?
  5. Is there an outdoor space for mingling? Such as an outdoor bar?
  6. Is there an extra charge for an outside caterer?
  7. Do they provide table linens, centerpieces, silverware, glassware, etc?
  8. Is there complimentary parking onsite? If not, how much would costs for my guests to park? Is that a cost that you are willing to cover for your guests?
  9. How many restrooms are there? Are they clean and easily accessible?
  10. Does the venue provide an event manager? Can they work with your wedding planner?
