Rainy Day Wedding Tips

 Source

Many wedding planning experts will encourage you to have rainy day contingency plan for your wedding day. It is probably best to have one even if you are having a completely indoor wedding. Take a look at this list of tips and ideas so that you can create a contingency plan for your wedding in case of rain.

1. If your wedding is outdoors: rent a tent, send rain cards with alternate instructions for rain (such as a relocation to inside), purchase bright umbrellas for pictures opportunities and to keep your guests dry, coordinate a carpool or hire a car service to safely transport your guests from location to location, purchase cute rain boots, etc.

2. Hair and Make-Up: Make sure to prime your skin after cleaning it and before applying make-up, keep the moisturizer light, make sure you are using water-proof or water-resistant products, use invisible powder or blot powder and carry it with you, set and seal your look with a spray.

3. Get wedding insurance. Protect yourself in the event the weather is so bad that your guests are unable to come or the wedding just cannot happen.

4. Discuss the rain contingency plan with your vendors in advance. It is also important that you trust your vendors and only hire people that will be able to make adjustments so that your day is beautiful whether the weather is good or bad.

5. Embrace it! You cannot control the weather, but you can control your attitude towards it! Do not allow the weather to determine how great your wedding day is. Celebrate! Have fun! Take pictures in the rain! Dance in the rain! And make lasting memories!
