It is more and more common for a bride to have bridesmaids all over the country and perhaps even out of the country. 1. Try to give your bridesmaids choices. Pick several dresses that will look decent on everyone and allow them to either vote on the one everyone wants to wear or allow each girl to pick her own dress out of what you have already approved.

2. Select a dress vendor that has a physical location. It will be very helpful if your bridesmaids are able to go in and try the dress on before ordering it.

3. Do not wait until last minute. Start the search for bridesmaids dresses early. Some dresses and colors take longer to arrive for a variety of reasons, such as being considered a special order item or a unique color. Give yourself time so that in the event one does not work out you can easily start the search over or move on to the next option.

4. Have your bridesmaids order their dresses at the same time. It will simplify things for everyone and ensure that dresses arrive on time.

5. Give your bridesmaids a dress budget in advance so that they can begin saving or preparing for the purchase in advance.
