Are you saving for your wedding? Do you just need a break from life? Are you kids driving you crazy? A staycation offers a great alternative to a typical vacation, while allowing you to minimize the amount of money spent. They are perfect "getaways" for individuals saving up for a wedding, house, or baby! Check out a few ideas for at home staycations that we came up with!
1. Camping: Set up a camping trip in your own backyard. All you need is a tent and a few other basic camping supplies. If things get too scary or too rough you can always continue inside on the living room floor!
2. Film Festival: Host your own film festival at home! There are always classics or new movies that you may want to see or share with your significant others. Carve out some time to sit on the couch and indulge in those movies! Pop some popcorn, grab some snacks, and order take out and enjoy!
3. Bring the destination to you: Want to go to the beach? Italy? France? Create a set up in your home that mirrors what you would see on a trip. Then order food from your favorite restaurant that carries that cuisine and enjoy!
4. Take me back to childhood: Spend the weekend doing activities that you once did as a child or maybe that you wish you could have done. Play with water guns, play truth or dare, go to the park and swing on the swings, etc.
