Source

For most people one of the most exciting aspects of wedding planning is completing your wedding registry. It is a time where you can almost be like a child, walking around with a toy gun and magically shooting all of the items you dream to have in your new home. Sometimes we do get trigger happy and add some items that may not truly be useful down the line. We have assembled a list of some of the top registry items. Be sure to pull out your registry and see how your list stacks up!

1. A Few Sets of Dishes
This is one of the most useful items you could include on your wedding registry. You will most likely use your dishes daily or weekly, so you want to make sure you get a set that you truly like and that will continue to appeal to you years down the line.

2. Cookware Set
Pots and pans are definitely an essential. This is your time to request that nice set of stainless steel or whatever other material you have been eyeing on the cooking channel. Chances are someone will get it for you!

3. Towels
If you entertain a lot of overnight guests or hate doing laundry having a nice number of towels is a must. For your registry you can steer clear of those cheap ones and spring for the nice, soft, plush towels and towel sets.

4. Luggage
It is finally time to ditch your old luggage set that you have had since college! Now is the time to request a set that fits a newly married couple. If you plan to travel frequently, be sure the set is durable and can resist a lot of wear and tear.

5. Small Kitchen Appliances
That blender, 4 slice toaster, crockpot, etc. are must have items on your registry. You will definitely be able to use this products down the line and they may just make your life easier down the line.

Of course there are hundreds, no thousands of items that can be included on a wedding registry. What are some of your top items? What items do you see time and time again as a guest to a wedding?
