More and more frequently, we are seeing couples forego the traditional wedding registry, electing instead to use an alternative registry. While this is still something that is up to the bride and groom and based on their knowledge of who their guests are and how they would feel, it is becoming more popular. For couples getting married later in life or who have been living on their own for awhile traditional registry gifts may not be needed. Both of these sites allow couples to have their guests contribute to their honeymoons in lieu of traditional gifts.

This site allows wedding guests to contribute to the couples fund for building or buying a home.

3. Card Avenue:
This site allows couples to register for gift cards. You can choose from a wide variety of gift cards to give to the couple.
